Privacy Policy
Last updated · June 2026
Plain-English summary. This policy reflects how Holistiq Apps is built and operated today. It's written to be readable, not to be formal legal advice.
The short version
Holistiq Apps is built privacy-first. Our apps keep your data on your device by default. We don't run ads or tracking cookies; the only analytics we use is privacy-first and counts visits without identifying you; and we don't sell or share your information with anyone. This website collects as little as possible. That's the whole idea — the rest of this page is the detail.
Who we are
"Holistiq Apps" (the "studio", "we", "us") is an independent software studio operated by Yashas Reddy as an individual, based in India. For anything in this policy, reach us at hello@holistiqapps.com.
This website
This marketing site is static. We don't set advertising or tracking cookies. The site stores one thing locally in your browser — your light/dark theme choice — which never leaves your device and is used only to remember how you like the site to look.
Analytics
To understand roughly how many people visit and which pages are useful, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, a privacy-first measurement tool. It sets no cookies, stores nothing on your device, doesn't fingerprint you, and never tracks you across other sites or builds a profile of you. It simply counts page views and measures load speed in aggregate — there's no personal data to opt out of.
Fonts
The site currently loads typefaces from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers for the font files. This is the one external request the site makes. We intend to self-host fonts to remove it entirely.
Hosting
Like any website, our host processes standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site online. These logs are not used to profile you and are retained only as long as needed for those operational purposes.
The apps
Our apps (Metrify, Unfocus, Appleash, and anything that follows) are designed to be local-first. The things you track, block, or measure are stored on your device.
- Your data leaves your device only when you explicitly ask it to — for example, to sync between your own devices, or to export a file.
- Where an app offers sync between your own devices, it's end-to-end encrypted with a key you control, so we cannot read your synced data.
- We don't embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in our apps.
Each app ships with its own in-app privacy notes describing exactly what it stores and where. If an app ever needs a server feature, we'll tell you plainly before you turn it on.
What we never do
- We never sell, rent, or share your personal data — anonymized or not.
- We never run behavioural advertising.
- We never embed advertising or cross-site tracking SDKs.
The only third parties involved are the service providers that help us run the site and deliver your messages — our website host, Google Fonts, our privacy-first analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics), and the contact-form handler described below. They act on our behalf to provide the service, never to use your data for their own purposes.
Email & getting in touch
When you email us directly, your message reaches hello@holistiqapps.com and we use it only to reply to you. We keep correspondence only as long as we need it to handle your query, then delete it.
The contact form on this site is handled by Web3Forms, a third-party form-delivery service. When you submit the form, the name, email address, and message you enter are sent to Web3Forms' servers (in the United States), which forward them to our inbox. We use your submission only to reply to you, and Web3Forms processes it solely to deliver it — see Web3Forms' privacy policy for the details. If you'd prefer not to involve a third party, just email us directly at the address above.
We don't currently run a newsletter; if we add one later, it will be strictly opt-in and you'll be able to unsubscribe in one click.
Your rights
We aim to honour the rights that data-protection laws give you — including the EU and UK GDPR, India's DPDP Act, California's CCPA/CPRA, and similar laws elsewhere. Depending on where you live, that can include the right to access, correct, delete, or export the data we hold about you, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Because we hold so little, most requests are quick — email hello@holistiqapps.com and we'll help.
A few specifics, for transparency: where we process the limited data described above, we rely on your consent (for example, when you choose to contact us) and our legitimate interest in running and securing the site. The contact form sends your message to Web3Forms in the United States (see above), so using it involves an international data transfer. If you're in the EU, UK, or another region with a data-protection regulator and you believe we've mishandled your data, you have the right to complain to your local authority — though we'd appreciate the chance to put it right first.
Children
Our apps and this site are not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal data from children. Because our apps are local-first and we collect almost no personal data to begin with, there is very little to collect in any case.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle data, we'll update this page and move the "last updated" date above. Material changes will be called out clearly.
